Hello, and welcome. I am Teri Roessler-Kennedy, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care.

I began my nursing career over 10 years ago as a Registered Nurse, working in a variety of specialties including neonatal, emergency, correctional, geriatric, and nursing education. I earned my nursing degree from North Florida Community College and later received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing administration from Thomas University. In 2019, I completed my Family Nurse Practitioner training at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, and became certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Recognizing the growing need for mental health services in rural communities, I returned to school to further my education and became an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in February 2024.

My goal is to provide personalized care that helps patients improve their mental health, overall well-being, and quality of life. I treat adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health conditions, including:

I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan.

I am a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 15 years of healthcare experience caring for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I earned my BSN from Nova Southeastern University, MSN-FNP from the University of South Alabama, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Florida, and Post-Master's PMHNP certificate from Wilkes University.

My background includes intensive care, family medicine, urgent care, oncology, thoracic surgery, correctional healthcare, and outpatient psychiatry. This diverse experience allows me to understand the connection between physical and mental health while providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

I specialize in evaluating and treating anxiety, depression, panic disorder, PTSD and trauma, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, insomnia, stress and burnout, adjustment disorders, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem issues, women's mental health, postpartum depression and anxiety, and life transitions. I also work with individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation, caregiver stress, and co-occurring mental health conditions.

My approach is collaborative, holistic, and individualized. I combine medication management with evidence-based therapy techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and strengths-based interventions. I bring both clinical expertise and grounded compassion to every appointment. I provide treatment for adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, and other mental health concerns. My name is Sharnice, I am a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over five years of clinical experience supporting individuals and families navigating a wide range of mental health and medical concerns.

My psychiatric specializations include mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use conditions. As a dual-certified provider, I also bring a primary care lens to my psychiatric practice — allowing me to treat the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
