Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist. I received my Masters from Loyola Marymount University and have been practicing for 6 years. I have experience working with clients of all ages, but I am truly passionate about helping transitioned age youth (17-25), adults, couples, and the elderly. I hope to be part of your therapeutic journey by using a variety of evidence-based approaches to support your treatment, empower you to find solutions, and help you develop individualized coping skills.
I am so glad that you are here seeking the wellness that you desire and deserve. I have worked in this field a long time. Having received my MSW from Cal Poly Humboldt, the course of study focused on rural and Indigenous communities and was both solution-focused and strength based.
Hi, I am Dr. Cristina Bautista, Psy.D., LMFT. I have over 12 years of experience in helping children, adolescents, parents, adults, and couples. I am a mother, a military spouse, and a Latina. I believe everyone can use a little help so you may be the best person you can be. If you are being proactive or need a bit of help with current problems I will be able to provide you with tools necessary to overcome anything.
Because of my past personal and professional experience, I typically work with people who are "finding themselves," which can occur at any age, especially after a big change or loss or life event. I specialize in grief, bereavement, sexuality, and spirituality, and often my clients have some sort of religious background or are artists/makers/creatives. I work really well with sensitive men, strong women, and people who feel stuck or misunderstood.
My name is Laura and I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2016 with my Master's degree in Social Work. I've worked with multiple populations including adults with severe mental illness with comorbid addiction issues, adults and adolescents with acute trauma, adults with anxiety and depression, the geriatric population and crisis intervention. My passion lies working with people in a clinical setting, long term
What started as an interest in human behavior and Psychology, blossomed into empathy for the human experience and learning what an incredible privilege it is to hear and witness the vulnerability of others. While obtaining my MA in Marital and Family Therapy, I worked in Community Mental Health, primarily serving low-income families. I have gained a wide range of experiences with many diverse populations. Maintaining cultural competence, and open-mindedness to all is crucial to my identity as a therapist. A safe and supportive environment is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship.
Clients often tell me that the first thing they notice is my calm, steady presence. I show up inviting, open-minded and humanity with and genuine respect for whatever you’re carrying. My role is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to explore difficult emotions, and never judged for your experiences or reactions. You don’t need to prepare, perform, or have the “right” words — you can simply arrive as you are.
I have spent many years supporting children, adolescents, and adults through moments of crisis, transition, and emotional overwhelm. That work has shaped how I practice: I pay close attention, I move at your pace, and I stay attuned to both what you’re saying and what you’re feeling. I understand how heavy life can become when stressors accumulate or when past experiences continue to echo into the present. You will never be rushed, dismissed, or minimized here.
You can expect me to be engaged, thoughtful, and collaborative. I ask questions to help you make connections, I listen for the patterns beneath the surface, and I hold space for both the pain and the strength in your story. I value honesty, transparency, and the trust that grows when you feel truly seen and understood.
Most importantly, you can expect a relationship built on safety, consistency, and compassion. I will honor your boundaries, respect your lived experience, and walk alongside you as you navigate healing, insight, and meaningful change. You don’t have to carry everything alone — I’m here to support you, one step at a time.
