I have worked in residential and intensive outpatient programs but for the past 5 years I have been providing therapy through Telehealth. Mostly I have found people to be astounding in their strength and resiliency and have greatly enjoyed being part of their growth process.
I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds during and after my formal education. it takes courage to take the first step to search for help and you've done it! I want you to know that at times when we are not feeling our best its ok to reach out for help. Sometimes depression, anxiety, family conflicts, questioning life goals can get on the way of enjoying life and we might need someone to help us through those times.
I believe that meaningful mental health care starts with trust, compassion, and genuine connection. Over the past 15 years, I have worked across a variety of healthcare settings, including trauma nursing, emergency nursing, and nurse leadership roles, caring for individuals and families during some of life's most challenging moments. These experiences have reinforced my belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, empathy, and respect.
My commitment to mental health care is also shaped by personal experience. Like many people, I have witnessed the impact of mental health challenges in my own life and among loved ones, which has deepened my understanding of the courage it takes to seek help. I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable discussing difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences.
Welcome, I'm glad you're here.
Being in the mental health field for many years has helped me see the importance of being able to work through our issues, and the importance of seeking support. I've worked with various populations within the mental health field, however I find I've shifted in working people who struggle with depression and anxiety, as well as relationship issues.
I have 15+ years of experience working with individuals and couples who have experienced trauma, both directly and indirectly. My specialty is those going through a loss, suffered emotional trauma, or are victims of violence. Unaddressed individual trauma can often lead to anxiety, depression and difficulties in developing / maintaining loving relationships. Couples can struggle with unhealthy patterns of communication and need alternative tools to better understand each other. With a warm, collaborative, and evidence-based approach I support clients facing issues such as anxiety, grief, life changes and relationship challenges.
You may have held doubts about talk therapy and perhaps are thinking therapy may not work at all for what you are dealing with. Psychotherapy like all science is continually changing. Both new and long held approaches to well-being are vast. I invite you to consider Brainspotting before you rule out therapy entirely. My role as a Brainspotting clinician is to offer you support, as you discover your innate capacity for positive self change. I specialize in trauma focused therapy, specializing in treating anxiety disorders. I focus on various forms of addiction, OCD, behavioral issues, depression, bi-polar and mood disorders.
I am a masters level trained Brainspotting clinician and a U.S. Army veteran. I believe in facilitating change in a supportive environment, following and observing your amazing capacity to heal from trauma in your therapeutic work. I work with veterans, first-responders, and other populations struggling with unresolved trauma and anxiety disorders.
Your unique circumstances are to be understood, honored respected and explored in a judgement free, supportive and caring environment. The issues that you bring into therapy remain entirely up to you. I will listen to your wants and needs; joining you on the journey towards your desired sense of well-being.
I work primarily with young adults who are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck — especially when it comes to anxiety and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are used to holding it all together on the outside, but internally feel lost or unsure of how to move forward.
I bring a calm, grounded presence to the work, even in high-stress situations. Much of my background is in working with clients in crisis, which allows me to help you navigate difficult emotions without things feeling out of control. At the same time, I’m warm, relatable, and honest — I’ll meet you where you are, while also gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck when or if needed.
