My name is Cory Sasloglou. I have been working in the field of counseling and social work since 2017. In the first three years of my career, I worked with the homeless, low-income, and at-risk youth populations in the city of Miami. I have been working full-time in private practice since the beginning of 2021. I work with clients managing a myriad of issues at varying levels of severity, including: anxiety, depression, motivation, identity, and grief.
I am a lifelong resident of South Louisiana. I received a BA in Anthropology from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and Master’s in Social Work from LSU in 2010. I spent two years in England working in child protection before returning home. Though I consider my background in working with children and families, I currently enjoy helping clients of all ages facilitate the change that they desire to better their own lives. In 2016, I received my LCSW and began working in clinical practice.

You've probably been holding it together for so long that you've forgotten what it feels like not to. I work with adults and teenagers who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and the complicated terrain of relationships and identity. A lot of my clients are women working through life transitions, maternal mental health challenges, and the weight of managing everything at once. Whether you're a teenager still figuring out who you are or an adult who feels like you've been running on empty, this kind of exhaustion is something we can actually work through together.
I am a licensed therapist with 10 years of experience helping clients navigate life’s challenges, clarify what matters most, and build lives that feel meaningful. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of effective therapy, so I prioritize creating a space where you feel genuinely understood and supported. My style is warm, humorous, and engaging, while still making room for honest reflection and meaningful growth. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients respond to difficult thoughts and emotions with greater flexibility and self-compassion.
