Welcome! My name is Jessica I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I specialize in anxiety stress management, and low self-esteem for ages 18+. I also am a Certified Clinical Supervisor and provide clinical supervision to LAC/LSW's working toward licensure.
I've been working in the field for over 10 years. I have a well rounded experience working in a number of therapeutic settings such as outpatient, psychiatric care, and school systems.
I received my Master's of Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University. I also have studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education.
My background in both education and counseling allows me to support clients with a blend of clinical insight, trauma‐informed care, and practical skill‐building. I currently serve as a facilitator with the Peace and Justice Institute and work as a contract therapist with Families First of Florida. I also have my own private practice named Here and Now Counseling Center. Dr. Strom was born and raised outside of Seattle, WA before she completed her Bachelors degrees in Psychology, Mathematics, and Philosophy at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. She first came to Florida for her graduate training at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), where she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Integrated Behavioral Healthcare. She has been a part of the Gulfshore Behavioral Health team since January 2023.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Strom enjoys cooking, baking, sewing and other crafts, exploring new restaurants and local activities, practicing yoga, traveling when possible, and spending time with her dog and partner.
