Top therapists in Beacon, NY accepting new patients
I believe therapy begins with creating a genuine connection, a foundation of trust, understanding, and openness. I also know how important it is to find a therapist you truly ‘click’ with; someone whose style and personality feel like the right fit for you. Over the past 15 years in the mental health field, including 5 years in private practice, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through challenges such as anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and the everyday stressors of family, relationships, work, and life.
It takes great courage to ask for help.
I am Lauren Ellis, a New York State licensed psychologist.
Before launching my private practice in 2011, I worked in a variety of in- and out-patient settings across a variety of mental health conditions.
Some prospective patients have found it useful to know that I am a trained yoga teacher and practitioner and that I was a NYC public school teacher before I pursued a career as a psychologist.
Thanks for visiting my page. I’m Esteban, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the human services field and more than a decade as a licensed therapist. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, grief and loss, relationship struggles, identity questions, and stress management. I also support clients exploring men’s issues and LGBTQIA+ experiences, always with an open, affirming, and respectful perspective.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal: helping people reach their highest potential in life. Many of the people I work with want to better understand their past experiences, make sense of their emotions, and begin making meaningful changes. My style is holistic, open-minded, and affirming, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel respected and supported.
Hi, I’m Peter, and I’m really glad you’re here! I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and human — not intimidating or clinical. I have training in Mental Health Counseling and experience supporting people with trauma, anxiety, depression,ADHD, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I work at a pace that feels right for you, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and never judged — just supported as you work toward feeling better.
I became a clinician because I firmly believe that my purpose in life is to help others heal through compassionate and empathic therapy. I hope we can start your healing process as soon as you are ready.
I cannot move mountains for you, but I can help you climb. Facing fears, healing from loss, finding meaning and joy - these are the inevitable tasks of life. Therapy may be your first step or your last resort. Often people avoid it all together because they believe their pain is too great, worry they will be judged or that their situation is too complicated. Some people believe they should solve problems on their own or only with family and friends. However, while family and friends may want the best for us, they often come with opinions or past hurts. Sometimes it helps to have a safe space outside your daily experience.
If traditional talk therapy feels difficult, uncomfortable, or simply isn’t your thing, let’s try a different approach! As a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Ciera uses art-making and creative self-expression to help clients explore LGBTQIA+ experiences, neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Ciera believes therapy doesn’t have to look or feel a certain way to be meaningful. They value authenticity, curiosity, and thinking outside the box, creating space for clients to question expectations, explore their identities, and figure out what works for them.
Ciera's approach is warm and collaborative, with room for humor and honesty. You don’t have to show up with everything figured out, and you certainly don’t have to fit yourself into a box to belong in the therapy room. In sessions, you can explore what makes you you and build a life that feels more genuinely your own.
With the use of therapy or medication I can treat you or your child so that impairments can be identified and the ability to function more easily is achieved.
My training allows me to diagnose and give treatment recommendations based on my assessment which consists of an evaluation gathering personal history, psychosocial and environmental stressors, and symptom review. I can help you understand the diagnosis and determine the cause of the difficulty with the use of medication or psychotherapy.
I am a double Board Certified Psychiatrist with Specialty Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I completed my Adult Residency Training and Child and Adolescent Fellowship training at North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
