As a licensed psychotherapist, I believe that mental health is essential for maintaining happiness, well-being, and a sense of security. While it may seem counterintuitive, seeking help is a courageous act, and showing vulnerability is a true sign of strength, not weakness.
Entering therapy can be intimidating, and that's why I always try to meet people where they are in their process of healing, growth, and change. I'm Bethany, a licensed therapist who helps individuals navigate anxiety, stress, and life transitions with compassion and clarity. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based techniques.
I have spent the last ten years applying my clinical knowledge and love of helping to ensure a safe space that addresses the unique needs of my clients. Whether you're feeling stuck or simply seeking balance, I'll meet you where you are and help you move toward the life you want to life. Self-discovery, growth, and healing should be a beautiful journey, as your therapist, I hope to be the vehicle guiding you.

I care deeply about creating a space that feels safe, genuine, and free of judgment. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I received my MS in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Queens College and am currently working toward obtaining my BSN and MSN as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I have years of experience working with teens and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation from my time as a crisis counselor in Long Island's most eminent crisis center, and as a clinician in one of New York State's largest clinics.
A native of County Cork in Ireland, my journey has led me to establish my home here in New York. I'm a licensed mental health counselor and have been practicing for the past 15 years. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I engage in counseling with a perspective to foster healing within oneself in order to develop and reach one's personal potential.
I have spent a majority of my training working across the lifespan from childhood to adulthood, and within family systems. I am trained in helping clients with stress and anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, family conflicts, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and depression. Some of the individuals that I work with are in recovery from eating and substance-related disorders. My clients often face school and work avoidance and may find it difficult to do things they once enjoyed.
