Life is hard- therapy doesn't have to be! I work hard to create a judgement-free and open space where we work to build deep trust. Compassion, empathy, and sense of humor are an integral part of my practice. I am patient and recognize that relationships are built over time and will work to earn your trust: not expect or demand it. This is the basis on which I've built strong relationships with my long-term clients.
I attended NYU for grad school and then worked with people with chronic homelessness and severe mental illnesses. After that, I transitioned to work in community mental health with families and children with a concentration in trauma. For the last ten years, I've worked full-time with college and grad students so have a specialty working with young adults. When I'm not serving clients, you can find me at the gym, fostering kittens, or on the racetrack trying to beat my last lap.
Compassionate , Empathetic and Person Centered therapist . Specializing in transition, adjustment and anxiety.
As a licensed mental health counselor, I believe in creating an environment where clients feel safe to show up and be authentically themselves. Being in the field for over 5 years, I know creating that space means being curious, constantly learning, and having multicultural awareness. We all encounter different experiences in life, making the human condition so complex. I hope we're able to navigate that together.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. As a clinician with many years of experience working in schools, I also collaborate with teachers and other professionals when appropriate. I rock my glasses of the day and truly embody a therapist with my daily cardigans.
I work with clients who feel unable to escape the patterns of behaviors that keep them feeling stuck and who experience anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, relationship challenges, difficulties navigating life transitions and who have experienced trauma. I specialize in working with individuals and families impacted by intimate partner abuse and other relational traumas.
Hi there!
I am a licensed psychotherapist with diagnostic privilege, providing a holistic person first approach. I deeply care about humans and particularly serving the under served, and BI-POC communities. As an Afro-Indigenous / West Indian woman, I understand the vitality of intersectionality and connection to culture in mental health settings. My specific area of expertise is Forensic Mental Health Counseling with an Advanced Certificate in Victimology Studies, and having directly worked alongside individuals who have experienced: domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, sex and labor trafficking, hate crimes, and other forms of interpersonal violence. I have worked with a wide range of populations from youth, young adults, adults, and seniors. The main population I served for the last 6 years has been marginalized individuals with SMI/SPMI [serious mental illness] in homeless services including street homeless outreach, shelter, and supportive housing. I specialize in supporting those with PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, and other dysregulated / self destructive behaviors.
With a background in behavioral health administration and years of experience leading programs for adults navigating serious mental health challenges, I bring a deep, practical understanding of how care works and what people truly need. My private practice centers on a niche I care about deeply: adolescents, young adults, and college students navigating anxiety, depression, and the challenges of growing up and moving forward. I offer telehealth sessions in the evenings and on weekends, so support fits into your life, not the other way around.

Finding a therapist who truly gets you, your background, your relationships, and the pressures you carry can be the difference between therapy that feels like homework and therapy that actually changes things. I bring both clinical expertise and a deeply personal understanding of what it means to navigate identity, belonging, and relationships in a complex world. I work with adults across the full range of human experience: women sorting through life transitions, men learning to open up in ways they never felt safe to before, and anyone wrestling with questions of who they are and where they belong. I specialize in anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes, and the messy, beautiful work of building healthier relationships with others and with yourself.
