Life can be complicated at times, and change can feel overwhelming—leaving you feeling stuck, frustrated, or discouraged. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to support and guide you as we work toward creating a more balanced, fulfilling life. Together, we will explore negative thoughts and behaviors to identify what may be holding you back. I believe the answers are already within you—together, we’ll work to uncover them and develop practical ways to help you move forward with greater clarity, purpose and confidence.
Hi! I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. I have over 14 years of clinical experience in a wide range of settings, and doctoral training. I also have extensive experience working with adults. I bring a compassionate and warm approach to providing holistic, individualized and evidence-based treatment approaches. My clients appreciate my delicate and humorous style.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral health consultation in inpatient medical, psychiatric, and consult-liaison settings. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic illness, and life transitions.
I recognize that each person brings a unique set of experiences, strengths, and challenges into therapy. My role is not to assume what will be most helpful, but to understand what has brought you here, what matters most to you, and how we can work together in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to your life.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Illinois and New York. I received my Masters in Social Work from New York University and have been practicing for over 10 years. My experience includes helping children and young adults struggling with their emotions and relationships to find their strengths, accomplish their goals, manage their emotions, and helping them build a support system.
I'm direct, genuinely invested, and not here to just let you vent while nodding along. I've spent six
years working with people who are tired of white-knuckling their way through addiction, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder — and what I've learned is that the people who want real change respond best to a therapist who takes them seriously enough to push them. I will meet you where you are, and I will also challenge you to go further than you thought you could. I believe in you before you
believe in yourself. My style is open-minded, honest, and grounded in the understanding that every
person's path looks different — even when the struggle has the same name.
I began my journey in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015 and am currently pursuing my doctorate. I work with clients seeking support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship and dating challenges, as well as those seeking a more fulfilling life.
I help you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Hi, I’m Valerie, and I specialize in complex/developmental trauma and grief. I work primarily with women navigating childhood trauma, complicated family dynamics, narcissistic abuse, and what it means to move through life without the support they should have had. I also work with young adults who have experienced the loss of one or both parents.
Many of my clients are used to being the "strong one" -- the one who holds everything together, even while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted underneath. Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to do that anymore.
I use EMDR and Induced After Death Communication therapies to help process experiences that feel stuck, not just intellectually, but emotionally and physically. This work goes beyond talking about what happened; we focus on helping your system actually shift so those experiences no longer carry the same weight.
I have a particular passion for working with grief, including the kind that isn’t always recognized—like estrangement, losing a parent (emotionally or physically), or becoming an adult without the support you needed. I don’t believe grief is something you “get over,” but something you learn to carry differently.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Fordham University and my Bachelor of Social Work from Adelphi University, graduating summa cum laude from both. I began my work in a community mental health clinic and later worked in several private practices before opening my own.
