I work hard to create a safe, empathic, and authentic environment. I believe I can best help clients by listening to their story and being a fellow traveler in their lives. I have found a passion for working with a great array of individuals but particularly enjoy working with families, couples, the LGBTQ+ community, and sex therapy. I find the best work I do is simply when I connect with a client. I have my masters from SMU and have done specialized training in Gottman, EFT, and sex therapy.
I received my first counseling license in 2015 in Indiana and my License as a Professional Counselor in Texas in 2017. I am EMDR trained. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autsim.
I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen, safe, and supported. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I want therapy to be a space where you can be yourself, make sense of your experiences, and explore what you’re going through at your own pace without judgment.
I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the lasting effects of past trauma, including early attachment wounds, parentification, and growing up with a parent who experienced mental health challenges. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and personality-related concerns. Together, we’ll work toward understanding your emotions, recognizing patterns that may be holding you back, and developing practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control.
My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, build healthier and more fulfilling relationships, and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you. Therapy doesn’t have to be about “fixing” who you are- it can be about understanding yourself more deeply and learning how to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.
With a strong foundation in both social work and law enforcement, I bring a compassionate, grounded, and practical perspective to therapy. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work and spent eight years in law enforcement, primarily working patrol. This experience gave me the opportunity to support individuals and families during some of the most challenging and vulnerable moments of their lives.
Through my professional work—and my own lived experiences with critical and traumatic incidents—I developed a deep commitment to helping others heal from trauma. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and work with individuals navigating life’s challenges, processing difficult past experiences, and building resilience for the future.
My approach blends clinical expertise with real-world understanding to create a space that is supportive, nonjudgmental, and genuine. I strive to ensure clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Whether you are working through trauma, adjusting to life transitions, or seeking healthier coping strategies, I aim to help you gain clarity, strengthen your inner resources, and move forward with confidence. There are few things in life that are priceless, but mental health is one of them. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of trust, respect and alliance. As a licensed clinician, I believe that each of us has a responsibility, a duty, to become the best versions of ourselves. I also believe that as humans we already possess the tools and knowledge to achieve that goal. As your therapist, it is important to understand your therapeutic goals, your personal struggles, and to highlight the tools/gifts that you already possess. All of this is achieved through open and truthful communication, consistency, and respect. My goal is to accompany you on your journey to wellness.
I want to help you unlock your greatest potential by addressing what is holding you back.
