Are you feeling overwhelmed? Alone? Misunderstood? Do you feel emotionally out of control? Would you like to create a life that is not so messy? Do you just want to feel heard and validated? The painful issues we experience in our lives, when faced without emotional support or someone to simply acknowledge this pain, will rob us of our joy. I want to be the person that helps you navigate through your difficulties, so that you can learn to manage emotions in healthy ways, take control of your life, and rewrite your life narrative without the mess. I will listen without judgment, be fully present in the moments we spend together, and work collaboratively with you on finding solutions. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and with my unconditional support, you will begin to improve your mental health, so that this story of your life is being written joyfully by YOU!
I am Jessica B. Muniz, a licensed clinical social worker with clinical supervision credentialing, in the state of Texas. I have done clinical work within university counseling centers and also in mental health facilities to include inpatient and outpatient therapy, throughout my 15 plus years as a clinician. I have experience working with young adults, adolescents and couples. I am excited to begin our work together!
Do you feel taken advantage of and like no matter what you do, you can't win? Are you a victim of emotional, verbal or physical abuse? Do you love someone who is caught up in the pain of addiction or mental illness? Have you tried everything you can think of but have no idea how to help or what else to do? Are you afraid your partner, spouse, adult child or other loved one will end up in jail, or worse? I get it. Maybe you're just mad. Maybe you're tired of having to handle everything yourself. I get that too.
With nearly 9 years of experience, I support adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, people-pleasing, masking, life transitions, and neurodivergence.
Therapy with me isn’t about becoming a “better” version of yourself for everyone else. It’s about getting curious about who you are beneath expectations, survival strategies, and the pressure to have everything figured out.
My approach is affirming, collaborative, and culturally responsive, with particular care for queer, trans, nonbinary, neurodivergent, and BIPOC clients. Together, we’ll create space for greater self-understanding, authenticity, and meaningful change.
As your therapist, my goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment to help you heal. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. I provide both medication management and individual therapy, taking time to understand the full picture of what you’re experiencing and what you want to improve.
I am a Clinical Social Worker with a graduate degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. For the past two decades, I have been advocating for individuals and families struggling with mental health concerns. My work has primarily focused on trauma, and I have provided therapeutic services to a diverse array of individuals of all ages.
